1. Who we are
Noctal operates the website at noctalj.pro. Our registered place of business is Unit 8-3, Wisma Central, 147 Jalan Ampang, 50450 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. For privacy-related matters you can reach us at [email protected] or by telephone on +60 3-2694 7381.
This policy describes how we handle information collected through this website. It applies to visitors who browse the site and to people who submit an enquiry through the contact form.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what is needed to respond to an enquiry or to understand how the site is being used:
- Contact form data — first name, last name (optional), email address, telephone number (optional) and any message you choose to write.
- Usage data — pages visited, time on page, referring URL and approximate location (country or city level) collected through analytics tools.
- Cookies and similar technologies — small files stored in your browser that help the site function and, if you consent, allow analytics and advertising measurement. See section 5 and our Cookie Policy for details.
We do not ask for sensitive personal information such as identification numbers, financial account details or health-related data.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and, where appropriate, to arrange a scoping call.
- To understand which parts of the site are useful and which are not, so we can improve the content.
- To measure the reach of any advertising we run on third-party platforms.
- To fulfil any obligation arising from the business relationship you initiate by submitting an enquiry.
We do not use your information to send marketing emails unless you have separately agreed to receive them, and we do not sell your details to anyone.
4. Legal basis for processing
We process personal data under Malaysian personal data protection principles that govern the collection and use of personal information in commercial transactions. When you submit a contact form, you are initiating a commercial enquiry and the processing is carried out to respond to that request. Where we use analytics or advertising cookies beyond what is essential, we rely on your consent, which you give through the cookie preference panel.
5. Cookies and tracking
Essential cookies keep the site functional. Analytics cookies help us understand aggregate visitor behaviour using a third-party analytics service. Advertising cookies allow platforms such as Google and Meta to attribute enquiries to advertising campaigns. You can choose which non-essential cookies to accept or decline through the preference panel that appears when you first visit the site or by clicking the cookie icon at the bottom of the page. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
6. Third parties and processors
We work with a small number of third-party services that handle data on our behalf:
- Analytics provider — receives anonymised usage data to help us understand site traffic.
- Advertising platforms — receive conversion signals (that an enquiry was submitted) so we can measure the performance of any paid campaigns.
- Email and communication tools — used to receive and reply to enquiries.
These providers are engaged under contractual terms that limit their use of the data to the purpose for which it was shared. We do not knowingly share personal data with parties who would use it for unrelated purposes.
7. Data retention
Enquiry records are kept for as long as is reasonably necessary to follow up on a potential engagement and to fulfil any resulting contractual obligations — typically up to two years from the date of the enquiry. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form and does not identify individuals beyond the retention periods set by the respective analytics provider. If you ask us to delete your information, we will do so where we are not required to retain it for a legitimate business or legal purpose.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable local data-protection law, you may have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you.
- Request that we correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information where we no longer have a legitimate reason to retain it.
- Withdraw consent to non-essential cookie processing at any time through the preference panel.
To exercise any of these rights, write to us at [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within 30 days of receiving a clear request.
9. Security
We use standard technical measures — HTTPS, access controls and limited data retention — to reduce the risk of unauthorised access to the information we hold. No online service can offer a complete assurance of security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what we have collected.
10. Children
This website is directed at businesses and professionals. It is not intended for, and does not knowingly collect information from, anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information through this site, please contact us so we can remove it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in applicable requirements. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last revised. Significant changes will be noted at the top of the policy for a reasonable period.
